Wondering if you can give me info on where to obtain a rose called 'Otago' please. It is a miniature or patio rose.

Thanks, Lynne

Gruss An Aachen should be a good variety, its a older variety that has stood the test of time well. Otherwise try Sparkler which has all the attributes you are after, it flowers for months and is very easy care.

As to moving roses, winter is the best time to move them but they can be moved anytime provided they are kept moist at all times. Cut them back by half before moving and then prune when you usually do them in winter.

We have just re-developed an area in our garden and I would like to plant some miniature standard roses - cream/white in color, preferably with a free flowing habit. I have looked at a few and wondered what "Gruss AN AAchen" is like for health and does it stand up well to frost? We live in Dunedin and can get very varied weather!!
Also we are about to under go some renovation's of our house, and I am having to move established roses and perennials. We are working around builders and may not be able to wait until winter, although it could be into Autumn.
