Napier


We meet on the 2nd Friday of each month September-December and February-May usually at 1.30pm, in a variety of cafe settings. Visitors are more than welcome to join us.

August - no meeting

September - Friday 3rd-Sunday 5th: We will be part of the “Green Therapy”  exhibition at the Home and Garden Show in McLean Park.

September - Friday 10th: 1.30pm at the River Valley Cafe, Eskdale. Competition: “A spring bloom” (vases supplied); Your questions answered; A ‘Rosy’ Wordsearch competition; and a time of good fellowship in the shared love of roses. Drinks suppled for members - visitors are asked to pay for their own.

October - Friday  8th: 1.30pm at the “Silky Oak Cafe”, Links Rd. Competition” The First Rose of Spring” (vases supplied); Your questions answered; Discussion on the upcoming events for November; and a time of good fellowship in the shared love of roses. Drinks suppled for members - visitors are asked to pay for their own.

October ? We may organise a garden tour, taking in the Prizewinning gardens as judged in the Napier Gardens Competition. Details to be worked through as yet.

November - Saturday/Sunday 6/7th : 9am-5pm: A Rose Display at Napier’s Mitre 10 Mega Store Garden Department, Prebesen Drive - a visual feast for the eyes, with fragrance!

November  - Friday 19th: 1.30pm: Visit to Georgina Campbell’s Heritage Rose garden.

December  - Friday 10th: 12noonish- lunch at the Puketapu Pub.

Subscription rates are $25 per annum per person/family - January-December year, due by March 31st.

An informative bi-monthly newsletter is posted or mailed electronically to all members.
