Issued annually and free to all Society
members. Each issue contains articles of interest, often chosen from
articles written and published in one of the District Society Newsletters.
So they are articles written for and by NZ rose growers in many cases.
Contents cover:
Rose Garden for the Blind, Naming a Rose, Going Organic, Delights of Pot-pourri,
Silver Leaf Disease, Downy Mildew.
Topics which are in every issue and are updated each year include Review of
Newer Roses, Final Analysis of Test Roses and Top Favourites Roses

NZ ROSARIAN
Issued every Spring and Autumn, this is the most frequent of the Society
Publications.
It contains full colour photos on the front and back covers, lots of
articles and information.

Each issue has articles covering new roses of
interest, rose care appropriate for the time of year, rose breeding information,
comments from rose judges as well as the articles of interest.
“Articles include – New varieties to watch for, South Island Rose Care and North
Island Rose Care.

Detailed information on soil, planting, care, pruning, feeding etc.
Extremely good close up photos of common diseases and pests that can trouble
your roses, diagrams on correct pruning methods, and tips on propogation.
An excellent reference for the beginner to roses as well as the more experienced
grower.

Nothing fancy here, this is information for Judges when judging at
Shows. This is the basis for all decisions etc. All judges and many
exhibitors have a copy.

This is the publication aimed at educating exhibitors. Contains all the
information needed on different show types, definitions, acceptable and
unacceptable presentations, useful tips and more. Anyone intending to show
roses should obtain this and keep in their showing kit.
