  Cultural Handbook

Provided to every new member, this official handbook provides advice and guidance on all aspects of growing and caring for roses – from soil preparation to pruning, managing pests and diseases and conditioning roses.

  DISTRICT ROSES SOCIETIES ALSO:

·          Arrange garden visits and tours – recommend varieties to grow that suit the area.

·                    Hold pruning, planting and cultural demonstrations.

·                    Hold shows and displays

·                    Publish regular newsletters

  When you join the NZ Rose Society, you will become a member of the nearest one of 41 District Rose Societies situated throughout New Zealand.

They hold monthly meetings where you can:

·          Meet and talk with others who love roses and learn how to grow great roses at your place.

·          Listen to exciting speakers on a variety of subjects related to the rose.

·          Take advantage of special purchasing discount offers – use a rose library.

·          Join in exhibiting your best blooms in competitions and shows.
